A blog about Philippine art, music, film, advertising, and fashion. This blog is about finding a muse in the land I live in and the culture that’s thriving on it. I love being a Filipino. I want to discover how to be more Filipino every single day. musa manila is a chronicle of the journey.

Bench Uncut Fashion Show
It's a Friday at last! Since I'm quite excited to spend this weekend watching the Cinemalaya Film Festival at the CCP, I'll just leave you all with some eye candy that I snagged from my friend Fritz.I found these hilarious and inspiring because it reaffirms that I live in a society that is not at all sexist.
A society where we can make a (presumably straight) matinee idol parade around as a pharaoh, a goat, a tropical bird, a one-winged disco bird, and an ice prince.
While the concept of the Bench underwear show might have been derived from the uber popular Victoria's Secret Angel fashion show, it is now uniquely Pinoy because it puts both men and women in ridiculous over-the-top costumes to sell underwear. Alavet. And if you're interested in the women, click here: fritzified.com
