So the blog is up! But our dream for this project is to go beyond the 4 of us. So, we'd like like to invite you (yes you!) to take part in our upcoming bloggers' challenge. The mechanics are simple:

STEP ONE: Wear something local, take a photo of your outfit, and blog about it.
o   You must be wearing at least ONE thing that’s locally made or designed. It can be your locally-made shoes, your necklace made from indigenous materials, or your shirt created by a young upcoming Pinoy graphic designer.
o   By this we mean local brands - whether big or small - as long as they’re not products imported/pre-ordered from HK/China/Korea, etc.
o   In the caption, identify the brand/s and provide their URL, if possible. You can also go the extra mile and write a bit more about the brand and what you love about it.
STEP TWO: Tweet us, or post it on our Facebook wall on MARCH 3, 2012, Saturday, 8PM (Philippine time).
o   We want everyone to post, tweet, or Facebook their #PosturaPH challenge entries at roughly around the same time, to magnify the energy of the call for fashionalism.
o   Our Facebook page can be found here.
o   Tweet us with the hashtag: #PosturaPH

Thank you again for your time, and we look forward to more collaborations with you!

We can't wait to see how you incorporate wearable pride into your outfits! You can also invite your readers to participate in the challenge as well. For ideas, you can check out our previous entries on http://posturaproject.com

My boyfriend is currently passed out somewhere because he's working so hard on my new blog venture along with his other "sabits". He's such an industrious young man that his Skype status is constantly, "Work work work" so I thought I'd post one of his "works" today. This is by far my favorite Esquire video. Click to see why!

I've become somewhat of a connoisseur of girly magazine videos so I'm giving this 5 out of 5. Why?
1. It's Solenn. She's hot no matter what your gender.
2. It makes the hard chore of doing laundry look like so much fun.
3. This video has local flair because of something every Filipino household has- a plastic batsya.
4. The Dorques song is pure ear candy. I just want to, "lalala" all day long. (Not while doing laundry, I hope)
5. Best part is, they're a local band. OPM support!

Apparently, some people find this video offensive to women. Oh noes. I've scratched the last comment out just to be a little more sensitive.

Most people who come across my wee little blog are but passersby. They arrive here because of a specific Philippine related entry but may never come back a second-time around. I know the world won't stop because I did not post the past couple of months. So I didn't feel too awful exiting the blogosphere for a bit. Although, I feel that I do have a handful of loyal readers who might have missed me.

This entry is dedicated to you. Just wanted to say, HELLO! I'M ALIVE.

In fact, the past couple of months have been the busiest I've ever had. Aside from busting my butt at the day job, I have brand new blog underway. It is all set to launch but I cannot reveal too much, only that I've found an amazing bunch to jump start it with me.

So, here's a little sneak peak.

A big thank you to Art Alero for our photo and to Ayala Museum for for letting us bloggers strut around their fancy exhibits.

Filip+Inna, one of my favorite brands in the world, is having a rare trunk show here in Manila. I can go on and on about how much I adore this brand because of it's distinct Filipinoness but I won't because photos will do a much better job.

Len Cabili, the designer of Filip+Inna, believes so much in the power of Filipino creativity that she's tapped indigenous Filipino people to make her clothes. These are handmade by female weavers in Lake Sebu. The clothes are so beautiful up close because you can see and feel every meticulous stitch. I can't wait for this Saturday! I hope to see you all there ;)

FILIP+INNA is coming home to Manila for an exclusive event with Maria.Maria!  Please join us for the FILIP+INNA Trunk Show and Private Sale on February 4, Saturday, from 1:00 - 6:00 pm at the poolside function room of the Ritz Tower, Ayala Avenue, Makati City.

Part of the sale proceeds will be donated to Maria.Maria's beneficiary, the Payatas San Isidro Feeding Center.  Join us on February 4 and help feed a hungry child!

RSVP by replying to this email, or by sending us a text message at 0906-6669590.
